WOC Campsite

WOC Tour

The WOC campsite is being established in a peaceful location on grassland beside Langkær Gymnasium (High School) in the Aarhus suburb Tilst. The Gymnasium lies 3 km from the motorway with access via junction 47.

There are good bus connections – both by day and by night – to and from the centre of Aarhus and the railway station. The daily bus service to the WOC and WOC Tour races starts at the campsite. One of the many city bus services can be used in connection with the prizegivings for the WOC Tour races and the other evening events in Ridehuset.

Small and large tents will be sited on the delightful grass areas, whilst caravans and mobile homes will be placed on gravel areas. Camping pitches reserved by members of the same club will be sited together. Hard-floor sleeping accommodation is available in the Gymnasium.

The WOC Campsite opens on 28th July 12.00 and closes the 6th August 12.00.

There is access beside the camping areas to all necessary facilities: showers and changing areas, sales point for ordinary shop items and drinks, and computer room with access to the WOC website. Results and news from both WOC and the WOC Tour will be posted on the website.

Breakfasts and evening meals will be available in the Gymnasium. Meal tickets must be purchased at least 2 days in advance.

Tickets can be booked by e-mail to tour@woc2006.dk. Give your name, club and country, the dates you wish to book for, whether you want breakfast and/or evening meal, and the total number of tickets. Booked tickets will be placed in the club bag and must be paid for when the club bag is collected from the Event Centre office. Tickets can also be bought in the Gymnasium and WOC Tour Event Centre up to 2 days before use.

A large shopping centre is situated on Viborgvej, 1 km from the campsite.

Reservation of pitches on the WOC Campsite must be done via the on-line booking system or by filling out and posting the official booking form. Bookings are first valid when payment has been received.
