WOC Tour

The Event Centre

The WOC Tour Event Centre will be set up in the charming old Ridehuset, in Aarhus’s central area and close to the WOC Event Centre at Hotel Radisson SAS.
Ridehuset will be the base for the WOC Tour secretariat and for all the social activities being planned for the Orienteering Festival. Here you will also find displays, sales stalls, a café and restaurant and an internet café.
The prize giving ceremonies for the WOC Tour will also take place in Ridehuset.

The Event Centre will open on Friday 28th July at 1200 and close on Sunday 6th August at 1000.
Entry to parking area is from Margrethepladsen 1.

Timing and Punching

The EMIT system will be used for timing and electronic punching. If you have your own EMIT brick, please give the number when entering. If you wish to hire an EMIT brick from us, please book this with your entry.

Children’s Activities at the Assembly Areas

Each day we will be offering interesting and exciting children’s activities at or very close to the assembly area, for a small charge. Pre-booking is essential.
A children’s course will also be available on each day, for free and with entry on the day.

Training

We will be offering training courses for everyone, near Aarhus and in the Silkeborg area, from Friday 28th July to Tuesday 1st August. Maps overprinted with control positions will be for sale at the Event Centre.

Transport to Races and Parking

A bus service will operate to all assembly areas. Picking up and setting down will take place at the Event Centre in Aarhus and the main camp site.
Tickets for bus transport should be booked when you enter.
A parking permit for the race assembly areas should also be booked along with your entry.
Private car parks requiring payment will be used in the neighbourhood of the Event Centre in Aarhus city centre. We can offer tickets for a nearby parking area at very favourable rates, if booked with your entry.

partner of WOC 2004.
