The WOC 2006 organisers offer test and selection races for national Federations on July 15-17 2006.

Entry registration for test and selection races for national Federations must reach the WOC 2006 office no later than July 3rd. The entry must specify the number of female and male competitors in each test race. Please use Entry Form E6 (enclosed). An electronic entry form E6 can be found on www.woc2006.dk/entries
Training Areas
The eastern part of Silkeborg Sønderskov / Sletten – see map extract – will be closed for training in the period 4 – 15 July because this area is the venue for a Scout Camp with 12,000 participants.
The following areas, also indicated on the map below, have been designated as official training areas for teams participating in WOC 2006. More areas will be added gradually as they are mapped. The maps are surveyed and drawn 2003/4 by the map-makers who will be producing the WOC competition maps.
1. Silkeborg Vesterskov. 1:10 000 and 1:15 000. Relevant for long distance and relay.
2. Silkeborg Nordskov. Relevant for long distance.
3. Silkerborg Sønderskov. Relevant for long distance and relay.
4. Sletten. Relevant for middle distance and relay.
5. Hjermind Egekrat. 1:10.000, drawn 2005. Relevant for middle distance and long distance. The forest is closed in the period 11. May to 11. July 2006
6. Hørbylunde Skov. Relevant for long distance and relay.
Sprint areas for training
Four areas now available
As previously announced relevant areas for training in sprint would be made available early 2006. Thus, we are happy to publish four relevant areas for this purpose. They are

The maps of ‘Botanisk Have’ and ‘Skåde bakker’ have been drawn by Kell Sønnichsen, who is also the map drawer for WOC sprint.
The CD with all the official training areas has been updated with the sprint maps. Teams who have already purchased the training CD may at no cost request the new and updated version from

In general, all the training areas are relevant for every competition (except sprint). The type of forest for qualification and final in each discipline is quite similar.
Permissions
For all training in Danish forests, permission has to be obtained from the forest owners. Organisation of training without this permission is not allowed. All contact with forest owners must be made through Torben Utzon (see below).
Maps
Maps can be purchased offset-printed. It is also possible to purchase a CD-rom with the maps in JPEG format, as long as the purchaser undertakes to pay for prints and copies of the maps. The map files can therefore be used for course planning in conjunction with (e.g.) Condes, and maps with courses can then be printed.
Closed Areas
In all the training forests, a number of areas have been designated as out of bounds. It is very important that these areas are respected and kept clear of all training. The areas are marked in the map files on the CD-rom which can be purchased.
Control Markers
All controls set out in the training areas must be labelled with the name of the group and the dates when the controls are put out and will be removed.
